About

SEAN WILLIAM

I enjoy shooting with natural light, finding the nuances within a scene, as well as crafting my own light to create something compelling and dramatic.

Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Sean William and I’m (primarily) a beauty and glamour photographer. I began photographing models back in early 2008, but have had a love for the industry since early adulthood. Around age 15, I was introduced to fantasy art and soon became an avid fan of painters like Boris Vallejo and Luis Royo. From there I made my way to pin-up art and fell in love with vintage painters such as Gil Elvgren and Alberto Vargas as well as contemporary artists such as Olivia. For years that love was simply a one way road, as I have virtually no ability to draw or paint. I dabbled with 3D renders when the technology became available, creating pinups and fantasy art with Poser, and other programs, but it never completely fulfilled my desire to create compelling images that could draw in an audience. That all changed after getting my first DSLR and shooting my first local model.

These days, I truly enjoy photographing the female form. Whether it’s pinup style images, sexy glamour type stuff, or dance, fitness and cosplay, I always aim to showcase the feminine form while also trying capture confidence and strength. I much prefer to do projects that are a collaboration between model and photographer, where each side brings something to the table. It is within these that I find the strongest and most compelling images are found.

Photography is all about light and it is that aspect that, I feel, defines my work. Light can make or break an image. It is the foundation of what we do. I enjoy shooting with natural light, finding the nuances within a scene, as well as crafting my own light to create something compelling and dramatic. Or, perhaps, combining the the two.

It is my wish to continue photographing strong beautiful women in various genres. Glamour work has defined much of what I photograph and continues to do so, however I also wish to expand other areas of my work. Amazingly beautiful gowns and dresses always interest me and are definitely an area I want to greatly expand. I’m also a fan of dance and ballet style images. Nothing showcases a woman’s beauty AND strength more than that and I would love to shoot much more of it, along with fitness and bodybuilding work. And to bring this all full circle, I would absolutely love to expand my work with fantasy and cosplay. If you’ve read this far, you know it was what lead me down this path and I’d absolutely love to be able to create stuff in these genres. I’m looking to work with cosplayers, wardrobe and costume creators, and hair and makeup artists to help me continue to push the boundaries of my work and create some amazing images.

And while I primarily photograph women, for genres like Cosplay, I’m definitely open to photographing men if they have great costumes.

Thank you for reading and your interest in my work. I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers, Sean
